Happy New Year!

I got up New Years day excited. It was day one of a new 365 page book and I was ready to write a way better story than 2020 was. All today as I dove into my household chores and made dinner I reflected on the past year. What went wrong, what went right and what needed to change. I have spent weeks combing through my finances, and creating budgets, and setting goals for my health which are both the focus of 2021. Life on disability has always been frugal and I have always had to be intentional with my income. But I have really gotten a handle on what I can do better and I am doing the research on how to expand as a content creator and ultimately become financially independent. I haven’t found many stories of PWD’s leaving the system for a financially independent life but how it can be done is starting to take shape. I will talk about the “disability dilemma” in another post but for now lets get back to the day and planning.

I finished my dinner and settled at my computer desk with some water and tea and the first thing I found was a notice from Matt D ‘Avella. The new Minimalist movie titled “The Minimalists: Less is Now,” was now available on Netflix. What perfect timing! I immediately watched it knowing it would fuel my flame of inspiration to get serious about my intensions. When the movie ended I was full of even more questions for myself and what I want for this year. Questions I am more prepared to answer than I have ever been and Thanks to Josh and Ryan I am reminded that this is a journey and these questions have to continuously be answered. We constantly have to review our why’s because some of them evolve and change as we do. The intentional life is a commitment that you make to yourself and sometimes, you make that choice multiple times a day.

I hope you are feeling renewed and inspired as we head into 2021 and I hope you will join me on this journey. I am still figuring a lot of this out as I grow. The important thing is that I have started. Let’s go! ❤ ~E~
